At 7pm on Saturday 21 September 2024, Six piece band The Jesus Music Collective presents Songs of the Jesus Music Pioneers at the Burnside City Uniting Church, 384 Portrush Road, Tusmore. All proceeds will support a new grass roots mission to Elderly Maasai living in Tanzania facing incredible challenges.
Learn how a one -day visit to a Maasai village in 2017 and an intriguing conversation led Jenny Chapman to become a stay at home missionary through the medium of Whats App five years later.
- Jenny says ‘Daniel Kipeen, the village spokesperson, reached out to me and told me that since Covid, he has become a Christian Pastor and is dedicating his life to serving the elderly in three villages in his area. The enormity of his task soon became apparent, and I shared with my church. They’ve responded with their hearts and last year we were able to finance a Four -Wheel Drive which is saving lives every week’
- Proceeds from the concert will go towards financing the building of a pharmacy/medical centre with the much larger goal of $140,000AUD
- A delicious supper will be provided, opportunities to donate, purchase cards, bookmarks and Barista -made coffee.
See how the Jesus Music Pioneers laid the foundation for today’s contemporary music
scene.
- More details about the artists and their lives will be shared during the concert.
- Suitable for all ages, presented in a contemporary style Jenny says ‘Older audience members will enjoy singing along to tunes they might not have heard for decades!”
- The music will be a blessing to the audience whilst they will be a blessing to our Tanzanian cause.
